Unholy Matrimony: Spencer and Natalie’s sudden marriage stunned King’s Bay, but when Jason refuses to let that be the end of the custody battle over Peter, the newlyweds are forced to double down on their charade. Jason’s insistence upon pursuing custody divides the Fisher family, and he finds an unwavering source of support in Sabrina. 
Meanwhile, Elly — as the engineer of Spencer and Natalie’s union — accepts an offer to stay in King’s Bay as part of Spencer’s legal team, which does not sit well with some of the people in her life. And you knew Loretta Ragan couldn’t be kept out of this situation forever…
The Best-Laid Plans: Rosie’s worst fears come to light when the investigation into Diego Barrera takes a wrong turn, endangering the safety of several main characters. Brent finds himself at the forefront of the entire mess, which leads to a decision that will alter several lives irreversibly. He and Molly also continue to have their hands full with Caleb, who can’t quite escape his entanglement in the drug bust. While Conrad pushes Molly to take their relationship to the next level, Travis and Rosie also move toward a reunion — but the dangers of the Barrera case, plus Elly’s presence in town, threaten those intentions. In the midst of all this, 2019 is the year in which we’ll finally meet Rosie’s family.
Gray Days: Early in the year, Tori makes a decision about her pregnancy and her life that does not sit well with some of the most interested parties. Now that Sarah and Matt are back together, they attempt to present a united front, and for possibly the first time ever, we get to see Matt in a much more “Sarah-like” way. Jake and Mia also wind up involved in their niece’s situation as the year goes on. Landon, who emerged as a more prominent character in 2018, tries to be there for Tori in the best way that he knows how, but will his support be accepted?
She’s the One: Henry Bishop’s health takes a sharp turn downward, and Diane finds it impossible to respect her father’s wishes to conceal his illness from the rest of the family. She lands in the unfamiliar position of being the one holding the family together — but, in the process, a much larger secret about the Bishop clan emerges. At the same time, Diane appears to be getting what she wants when Samantha and Jaq grow closer, much to Tempest’s annoyance.
Around King’s Bay: Alex finally attends the premiere of Liam’s film (an event that was pushed back because of the timing of holiday episodes!) and is surprised by the reception he receives from his old writing partner… Tim tries to move on with his life, but Sonja’s hasty exit from town continues to cast a shadow — one that won’t go away until he has solid answers… Bree develops a crush… Jimmy and Kathleen open their new bar, which will become a staple of King’s Bay… Helen Chase finds herself involved in some things that should be none of her business.
