SUMMARY

Lauren was introduced as the longtime friend of Courtney Chase. She fell for their new friend, Alex Marshall, and though they dated for a time, he eventually came out as gay. Lauren was deeply hurt but developed a friendship with Alex — who later became involved with her brother, Trevor. After Courtney broke up with Jason Fisher, he and Lauren got close and began a relationship. It took some time before the two women repaired their friendship.

Even while with Jason, Lauren continued to be drawn to her coworker, Josh Taylor, despite his cocky demeanor and flexible morality. She ended things with Jason after he jealously got into a fistfight with Josh during a family Christmas celebration. Although Lauren and Josh spent several more years going back and forth and even dating other people — she had a relationship with photographer Philip Ragan when he first came to town — they finally got on the same page. They married in 2012 and moved to Los Angeles, where Josh had landed a marketing job with a major film studio. The following year, Lauren gave birth to a daughter, whom they named Annie after Josh’s late mother, Anita.

The couple continue to visit King’s Bay for holidays and special occasions — even somber ones, like the funerals of Lauren and Trevor’s parents, Roz and Patrick. In 2018, Lauren and Josh had their second child, a son named Max.
