SUMMARY

Courtney grew up as a competitive pairs skater and fell in love with her partner and childhood best friend, Jason Fisher. But demented Shannon Parish, a fellow skater, also wanted him, and she had Courtney clubbed in the knee in order to separate them. Shannon also attempted to drive Courtney insane, but she and Jason eventually admitted their feelings for one another, and Shannon was locked up. Courtney and Jason began dating. Soon afterward, Alex Marshall came to town, thinking he might be Courtney’s half-brother; although it was proven that Courtney’s dad, Don, was not actually Alex’s father, Alex became close to the Chase family. He also began dating Courtney’s good friend, Lauren Brooks. But when Alex made a move on Jason, Jason kept it a secret, and Courtney was furious when she found out. She broke up with Jason and became skating partners with Dylan Carrington. Although Courtney and Alex became close friends after he came out, she and Jason remained on the outs, and Courtney became involved with Josh Taylor for a time.

Slowly, Courtney and Jason reconnected, and she joined him in his efforts to buy and revamp their childhood ice rink as Edge of Winter Arena. After an unexpected tryst, Courtney became pregnant, and she and Jason resumed their relationship. However, Shannon — who had been presumed dead — returned with plastic surgery, going by the name Sabrina Gage. She got a job at the arena and worked on separating Jason and Courtney again. Courtney gave birth to a daughter, whom she and Jason named Sophie, and looked forward to marrying the love of her life. Sophie was kidnapped on the morning of the wedding, but she was rescued and the ceremony proceeded as planned. However, during the reception, Shannon lured Courtney to the roof of the hotel and brutally attacked her. Jason tried to save Courtney, but she died at the hospital that very night.
