SUMMARY

Eric represented Diane Bishop in her bid to win back custody of her daughter, Samantha, from Claire Fisher. He briefly dated Molly Fisher and also had a fling with Diane, all while helping her play dirty to out Ryan Moriani’s parentage, with the goal of weakening the Fisher family’s standing in the custody case. In 2006, Diane enlisted Eric to help Tim in his divorce from Claire.

In 2011, Helen Chase hired Eric when she wanted to pursue custody of her granddaughter, Sophie. Eric helped her plot a fake kidnapping to make Sophie’s father, Jason, appear unfit, but it blew up in their faces when the hired kidnapper demanded a hefty ransom from them. Eric and Helen were both arrested, and Eric went to prison.

In 2022, he reappeared as a mysterious masked man working with Loretta Ragan, holding Rosie Jimenez and her adopted daughter, Gabrielle, hostage. Eric, who had been disbarred after his prison stint, was desperate for cash and partly blamed the Fisher family for his bad fortunes. When Brent Taylor discovered him in the basement of the old Moriani house, where Rosie and Gabrielle were being held, Eric fired a gun at Brent — but the bullet hit a gas line that caused an explosion. Eric soon died as a result of his injuries from the resulting fire.
