SUMMARY

Crooked businessman Nick followed his son, Ryan, to King’s Bay and was strongly opposed to Ryan becoming involved with his former teenage sweetheart, Claire Fisher — who was the son of Nick’s late friend and associate, James Robbins. Nick wooed wealthy widow Katherine Fitch and married her, at least in part for access to her riches. Thanks to his growing mob debts, Katherine was shot and her mansion was set on fire. Nick’s list of enemies grew as his evil deeds were exposed, and he was shot to death in his home. Tim Fisher was charged with the murder, but at Claire and Ryan’s wedding, a very much alive Nick held the entire wedding hostage and outed Ryan as his attempted murderer. He detonated a bomb that he’d planned to kill everyone present, but Sarah Fisher Gray managed to contain the blast. The explosion killed Nick decisively when he was beheaded by falling debris. After his death, his association with Loretta Ragan (James’s secret widow), as well as his role in Tim’s years-long captivity, came to light.
