As we move toward the official 20th anniversary of Footprints, there are a whole slew of cast changes on deck. Read on for details…
Same Character, New Face: With the debut of the new site, I’ve taken the opportunity to ‘recast’ two characters whose representations hadn’t been working for me for some time. Actor Dylan Neal is now being used as the image of original character Brent Taylor (previously represented by Patrick Muldoon), and Samantha Fisher is now ‘portrayed’ by actress Maddie Baillio. Both changes were made to align the characters’ visuals more closely with how I picture them when writing.
The Teen Scene: In Episode 882, readers are introduced to the now 15-year-old Caleb and Christian Taylor, sons of Molly and Brent. Born onscreen in the fall of 2005 (Molly went into labor during her sister’s wedding!), Caleb and Christian are now being represented by the image of social media star Hayes Grier. Later in the same episode, we also meet an aged Bree Halston, daughter of Natalie and Conrad, whose image is now that of Days of Our Lives actress Olivia Rose Keegan.
Teasers: Look for a longtime character to exit before the end of the year… A family unit returns for the 20th anniversary festivities and decides to put down roots in King’s Bay… A female character in her 40s is being cast and will start appearing toward the end of the summer.
Ooooohh this is all very exciting! I am very intrigued to learn which long-term character will be leaving the series! The only guess I have is Tim but he has left before so I’m probably wrong. I definitely believe it will be Lauren, Josh, and their baby that will be making roots in King’s Bay and really hope I’m right! I always enjoyed Josh and Lauren’s dynamics! Looking forward to the future of Footprints as always!
